Zach + Libby 2.01.16

Zach + Libby are a simply genuine and honestly in love couple. 

We first spent some time with Zach + Libby for a coffee and a chat about their wedding day plans. It was an awesome chance to get a sense of these lovely two and what type of photographs are important to them. It was also a great chance for Z+L to decide if Josh + I would work well with them to capture their beautiful day. We were so honoured when Z+L were just as excited about our photography as we were about their wedding day! From here we spent some time with Z+L at Southbank capturing their engagement portraits on and around where Zach proposed - you can check out our little adventure here. Z+L's wedding was set on a gorgeous summer day on Brisbane's north side ending in at Indooroopilly's Hillstone, St. Lucia. Stick around below to find out some more of Z+L's wedding day details.

Tom + Jayne // Hillstone, St Lucia Wedding 11.10.15

Tom + Jayne created their wedding day to suit their fun and informal yet classy style. Tom + Jayne wed at St Lucia's Hillstone function centre surrounded by family and friends overlooking the St Lucia Golf Course. While we had fun shooting this gorgeous couple around the tee off, guests enjoyed nibbles and drinks. We later joined all Tom+Jayne's guests in the Grand View Room for a standing reception with Chinese take away styled light meals while the crowd enjoyed speeches and photo slideshows of the couple. Whilst we were only with Jayne and Tom for the important parts of their sweet wedding day we loved every minute in capturing not just Jayne+Tom but also their beautiful families and the love and support they had for each other - it really does take a whole tribe to help a couple marry! "We loved having Josh and Anna capture our wedding day. They fitted in so seamlessly into our day. Myself and my (now) husband are quite awkward with posing, but Josh and Anna were lots of fun and gave us great direction. They put in a lot of energy and did their research on where we were having our wedding so knew the best spots to take the photos. Tim + Amy || Sunshine Coast Wedding 6.12.14

Tim + Amy celebrated their wedding ceremony at the Sunshine Coast's Point Cartwright, and reception at the Buderim Headland Golf Club. All morning the rain was threatening to increase from a slight drizzle to a strong downpour. Despite the forecast T+A who are both Christians prayed about going ahead at the ceremony location and went with their desire to get married on the beach they so LOVE! Oh and did we forget to mention that Amy is a surfer chick and sea-water is in her veins? You'll understood then why both her and Tim wanted to go ahead with their ceremony at the beach. As the storms moved away from the beach ceremony (woohoo!), Amy's uncle walked her down the grass aisle lined with frangipani's to her waiting husband-to-be Tim. Many family and friends had gathered to help celebrate T+A's love and commitment to each other. The great thing about T+A's ceremony location was that afterwards we didn't need to travel too far to get beautiful location shots for our couple in a location that they absolutely adore! We photographed T+A on the beach with the waves as a back drop and then brought them more towards the trees growing on the edge of the beach. Here we shot some more intimate portraits surrounded by the trees hanging foliage. There was lots of fun had on the beach with the bride and groom and their party, but also at the reception, with the couples speeches, the photo booth we set up, and lots of awesome dancing. William + Jocelyn || 2.12.14

A smart wedding for a smart couple! In August we had the privilege to share in Will +Jocelyn's special day by capturing it from hair + makeup, to the final dance at the reception. J+W are two quirky and fun people and their entire wedding day was an example of this! From the unique yellow of the bridesmaids dresses (of which we loved!) to the groomsmen cufflinks and the cake!

Jocelyn chose very realistic fabric flowers from Brizzy Bridal Bouquet's that individually were gorgeous but together complimented the bride and the bridesmaids dresses. Our bride J purchased her gorgeous wedding gown from Toowoomba business Valentine Bride, and saved some money by making use of shoes she already had. 

After being wed at City North Baptist Church, Kedron - W+J then spent some time with us being photographed, down by the river near their Indooroopilly reception at Riverglenn. This was a bit of a time out for them from the official parts of the day and we really enjoyed capturing two newly-wed people, very much in love. This definentely is our favourite part of a wedding, a time where you can see two people relaxing together as husband and wife for the first time. We recommend for any bride and groom-to-be to take at least an hour at a location, after leaving the ceremony - not only for photos but to sit and just be with each other, and these times do make for great photo opportunities as well - as you'll see below!

Scotty + Beth || 24.05.14

Scott and Beth wed on a cool May day in the north of Brisbane. With the combination of wild flowers and natives in Beth's and her bridesmaids bouquets - this was a wedding that was quite special and unique. Bride and Groom started their new lives together as husband and wife dancing down the aisle to Pharrell William's "Happy" lyrics, which set the mood of the entire wedding. Throughout the whole day Scott and Beth simply were just happy to enjoy the company of those who had been there to celebrate their day with them. The dress Beth wore was simply classic and suited her to a T! We had a lot of fun capturing their awesome style in some spare time between location photos and the reception, at the Brisbane Golf club. 

Micheal + Heather || 1.02.14

Michael and Heather were wed in the country town of Warwick at The Abbey of the Roses. This  converted convent provided a beautiful setting for these two love birds to tie the knot. Combining the traditional with the modern, the reception was an afternoon of high tea in the function room of the Abbey, surrounded by friends and family. Each one of their quest's received an individual tea spoon with the couples initials and the date of their special day engraved on it.  The day ended with good chats + laughs, some sweets and a good old bouquet toss.
